eBay's attitude is terrible and seems to be getting worse (managed payments, 18650, wireless router)
Hello, I don't know how to say this, but eBay's policies and viewpoints seem to be changing - and not for the better. In fact, if the last year (or so) is anything to go by, I would not be recommending members to sell on eBay. I have just received two nasty emails from this company stating that I am...

@spotify95 @pinkteddyx64 https://blog.twitter.com/en_us/topics/company/2020/suspension.html I did notice that, and also noticed his Reddit page no longer exists as well. Not seen anything about the others though (any sources?). My opinion? About time, he's broken too many rules, finally action has ...

Would you have these in your living room?
I suppose it would be a good re-use of components that would then see a second life, loved by collectors... In my opinion: great for upcycling, could be used as an armchair (or dining chair if thrown in with a table), better than being thrown in the scrapheap. edit: see here: https://mancunian1001.w...

Update 11/11/20 Buyers added to list: fetlock666 Reason: complained that sky plus remote controls weren't working and demanded a refund. Due to return costs and fees associated, it wasn't worth the return, so they got some remotes for free. I hope they're happy - I'm down the best part of £4 due to ...

Re: LIDL spotlight review Mk2!
Update: October 2020 A second review of this Livarno Lux (LIDL) spotlight fitting will be going ahead in the coming days/weeks. These fittings are no longer being sold in LIDL supermarkets, however, they are still being sold online on eBay (and possibly other sources too). Therefore, the original re...

Re: You can't sell 18650 Lithium Ion batteries/cells on eBay!
Update! As of October 19th, 2020, it is now impossible to sell 18650 Lithium Ion batteries on eBay. Selling them with 18650 in the title will trigger the warning above, about safety risks (though the Chinese 18650s that are still available, are a much higher safety risk). Selling them with 18650 bei...

Disassembly guides for Virgin Media and Sky digital set top/recording boxes.
Here are a few disassembly guides for if you have an old Sky or Virgin Media digital set top box lying around, that is no longer of any use. In order to disassemble one of these boxes, you may need: a flat blade screwdriver, a Philips screwdriver (usually #0 or #1 size), a Torx Security screwdriver ...

You can't sell 18650 Lithium Ion batteries/cells on eBay!
eBay's policies seem to be constantly changing, and this is no exception. It's also rather surprising, to say the least. The long and short of it is this: you can't sell 18650 Lithium Ion batteries/cells on eBay any more, as of August 2020. This was first spotted when trying to sell a job lot of 186...

Re: You can't perform a "Speedrun" from London to Faversham on the HS1 train line! (Train Simulator)
Another scenario has been added: https://youtu.be/k5rix57BEjQ?t=840 The result is, of course, unsurprising. A train that is just accelerating and is only a few hundred meters ahead of you, whilst you're traveling at 140mph+... you can kinda guess what the outcome is. You can't perform a Speedrun fro...

:doh2: It's a shame though, as it would be nice to go faster than otherwise permitted - you'd get to your destination in good time! If only Speedruns were allowed in real life... British Rail used to do speed runs with their Intercity 125s, running them at their maximum speeds of 150mph! :eek2: Yes...
